Amateur entomologist stumbles upon rare insect

The electrical engineer, and amateur dragonfly enthusiast discovered a new dragonfly species for Canada, the Hine’s emerald.
The Hine’s emerald is the only dragonfly protected by the federal Endangered Species Act in the U.S and was never before seen in Canada.
